Required

1+ years of experience in an engineering position.

Knowledge of and experience with object oriented and functional design patterns.

Solid skills in critical thinking, decision making, problem solving, and attention to detail.

Preferred

Java and/or Golang application development in a professional environment. Experience with compiled languages.

Experience with RESTful APIs. Docker, Kubernetes and deploying microservices at scale. Experience working on high-performance distributed systems. An understanding of concurrency models.

Experience using source control systems with a preference for Git.

Experience designing decoupled and highly testable applications.

Experience with distributed software communication.

Knowledge of systems design and development preferably leveraging open source and open standards.

Understanding and commitment to modern software engineering principles/processes (Agile, Lean, DevOps) and continuous improvement through measurement.
