Responsibilities

Perform boundary & topographic surveys; engineering design surveys; GPS surveys.
Utilize survey instruments to perform field surveys for civil transportation projects.
Utilize Auto CAD Civil 3D to edit field book files.
Utilize survey instruments to perform field surveys.
Work closely and in collaboration with a dynamic team of experienced professionals.
Travel out of the area, with potential of overnight stays, as projects dictate.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Required

High School diploma or GED.
A minimum of 5+ years working in the survey profession and capable of handling small topographic surveys using conventional and/or geodetic technology.
General awareness of land survey principles, practices, process, methods and techniques.
A valid driver's license. Must successfully complete and pass WSP's Motor Vehicle screening
Proficiency with survey equipments.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently under supervision, as well as part of a team to meet business objectives
Must possess a willingness to learn
Ability to work outside in all climates.
Sound self-leadership with attention to detail, accuracy, multi-tasking, and prioritization of responsibilities in a dynamic work environment.
Requires availability to travel out of the area, with a potential of overnight stays, as projects dictate.
Requires availability to work nights and overtime, as projects dictate
Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

Preferred

Associate’s Degree in closely related discipline is preferred.
Essential professional licensure/certification.
Experience with robotic total station is a plus.
Experience with Topographic Surveys, Boundary Surveys, Construction Layout, Laser scanning & GPS Surveys.
Experience with collecting field data in a line work format
