Responsibilities
Assist Director of Finance with coordinating and maintaining fiscal records, providing financial information, i.e. financial scorecards used on board meeting committee meetings, monthly financial reports, filing reports with regulatory agencies
Ensure quality control over financial transitions and financial reporting
Maintain financial records in compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), financial accounting standards board (FASB) and the nonprofits standards board as required
Prepare and compile reconciliations for current asset accounts
Helps with payroll process and payment of vendors
Maintain prepaid and fixed asset schedules
Contributes to growing engagement towards a healthy and flourishing work culture in conjunction with Alpha USA’s values and strategy
Ensure that monthly procedures and transactions are performed timely and accurately
Ability to keep accurate general ledger and accounts, analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts
Coordinate and direct the preparation of the company’s annual budget
Report to management of variances from the established budget, and the reasons for those variances
Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information
Prepare budget vs actual and summary reports
Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information & trends
Prepare weekly and/or as needed cash flow reports and manage cash balances
Prepare monthly and/or as needed budget vs actual reports and manage expense responsibility

Bachelors in Accounting or similar qualification
1-3 years years of experience in accounting/finance
Preferred
CPA and/or MBA/MAFM is a plus
Strong Computer Skills including MS Office, QuickBooks Accounting Software, Salesforce
Experience interacting with external auditors, banks and regulatory bodies.
Ability to create an environment of teamwork and collaboration
Excellent analytical and problem skills required.
Flexible, team-player who can work in an efficient, small office environment.
Detail oriented and well organized.
Ability to set priorities and be flexible and creative in a changing environment - work with diverse team members and co-workers with a genuine commitment to customer service
Demonstrates familiarity with the Alpha Course and actively participates at least once per year
Is a self-starter and able to work efficiently in a remote and macro-managed environment
