Responsibilities
Performing basic accounting procedures, e.g. A/R, A/P, time billing, P/R, G/L, tax payments and inventory control
Performing all basic accounting procedures, month-end closing, journal entries and general ledger maintenance, fixed assets preparing supporting schedules for financial statements preparation
Month-end and quarterly closing (e.g., balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements)
Monitoring and reviewing all records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transitions
Analyzing and reconciling general ledger accounts and investment transactions in conjunction with preparing quarterly reports for management
Producing financial data for the management team upon request and assisting with other special accounting projects from time to time
Ensures accurate portfolio administration by maintaining accurate records and ensuring all financial transactions (payments, etc.) are recorded on a daily basis.

Required
3+ years of progressive accounting experience in public accounting or similar work environment
Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlines
Strong computer aptitude, advanced expertise with MS Office suite, particularly Microsoft Excel
Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
Prior experience in mortgage banking industry
Power Query/PBI knowledge
Experience with LoanVision ERP system
