Responsibilities
Process vendor invoices and validate transactions in accordance with company policies.
Obtain appropriate approvals for payments and ensure timely payment processing.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date AP records.
Post customer payments and manage the AR aging reports to track outstanding receivables.
Reconcile discrepancies in customer accounts and ensure proper collections.
Create and issue accurate billing invoices to clients, ensuring compliance with contract terms, government regulations, and company policies.
Manage and oversee the company’s timekeeping process, ensuring accurate and timely posting of both internal and subcontractor labor.
Administer the company’s bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll process, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll data processing.
Maintain balance sheet schedules, ensuring that all related accounts are accurate and up to date.
Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures, ensuring all transactions are posted accurately and in accordance with company policies.
Prepare journal entries and assist with the preparation of financial statements.
Ensure all financial transactions comply with federal regulations and industry standards, particularly those related to government contracting (e.g., defense and intelligence sectors).
Stay up to date with relevant changes in regulations and accounting standards.
Assist in preparing audit documentation and providing financial data for external auditors.
Support the Controller in responding to auditor inquiries and ensuring timely submission of required documents.

Required
A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is preferred. Relevant work experience may be substituted for formal education.
Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible accounting experience.
Government Contracting experience required.
Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint
Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
Proficiency in government contract compliance, including FAR, DCAA, and other regulatory standards.
Criminal background is required
Must be authorized to work in the US
