Responsibilities

Design, build and operate production-grade AWS infrastructure within a Fintech environment.

Influence and contribute to the technical direction and roadmap across engineering. Collaborate across teams to deliver high-impact technical outcomes.

Mentor junior Engineers, to actively support their development.

Be an individual contributor to our infrastructure code - raising the bar in terms of reliability, quality, security and cost optimisation.

Take ownership of important components within our infrastructure architecture such as CI/CD, observability, container orchestration, disaster recovery, identity & access management, or cloud networking.

Operational excellence - respond to incidents and participate in the Infrastructure team on-call rotation.

Required

8+ years experience of professional software engineering.

Excellent communication skills, fluent in written and spoken English - it is our business language.

Recent experience in platform/SRE/infrastructure space, working across engineering teams to improve delivery.

Deep technical expertise in infrastructure-as-code, container orchestration and cloud architecture.

Prior experience in backend software development - we’re looking for someone who can collaborate and deliver projects that span across the application & Infrastructure teams.

Pragmatic mindset - ability to adapt to change, navigate ambiguity, take the initiative and proactively solve issues.
