Responsibilities

Determining appropriate theoretical principals and approach to be taken for designing equipment and systems to meet program requirements.

Making independent decisions on engineering problems and methods, representing the organization in vendor meetings, and coordinating work.

Planning, scheduling, and conducting detailed phases of engineering work in total programs or projects.

Conducting feasibility studies, reviewing design and development plans, and evaluating engineering proposals.

Coordinating activities concerned with technical development and resolving engineering design and test problems.

Acting as a liaison with customers and vendors, prioritizing engineering projects, and implementing changes as needed.

Functioning in an environment of constantly changing priorities, goals, and direction under time constraints.

Maintaining close contact with team leaders, business unit managers, and executive team.

Providing direction to other engineers within the department and project teams, minimizing negative financial impact during project implementation.

Performing all other duties as assigned.

Required

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Material Science and nine (9) years of direct work experience or equivalent

Must possess excellent technical, analytical, planning and organizational skills

Must possess demonstrated experience facilitating complex projects and solutions with multiple interactions

Must possess conflict resolution skills and demonstrated team leadership experience

Must possess strong oral and written skills with the ability to present both technical analysis and financial based justifications allowing further decision making within all levels of the organization
