Responsibilities
Perform laboratory and field experimental procedures in support of academically supervised research and teaching
Conduct technical determinations and observations in scientific fields like chemistry, biology, and geology
Install, operate, and maintain laboratory and field instruments
Process human biological samples and culture cells from patients and models
Design and execute experiments using cellular, biochemical, and molecular biology techniques
Maintain detailed records of work performed and analyze experiment results
Produce written and oral reports detailing experiment results and analysis
Adhere to data security requirements and perform other assigned duties

Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field
Experience with cellular, biochemical, and molecular biology techniques
Experience with DNA and RNA extraction, PCR, real-time PCR, droplet digital PCR, and other techniques
Experience processing human biological samples, including isolation of cells from blood and tissues
Experience in culturing cells from patients and/or latency models
Experience in storing and shipping samples
Ability to maintain detailed written records of work performed
Ability to perform analysis of experiment results and findings, including data collection, entry, and graph creation
Ability to produce written and oral reports detailing results of experiments and analysis of results
Adherence to data security requirements
Preferred
Interest in pursuing medical school, graduate school, or biotechnology industry positions in the future
