Responsibilities
Work on the less complex policy, procedural, research, and development assignments related to the coordination of dental services to Medi-Cal beneficiaries.
Support the monitoring of the contract compliance for the Fiscal Intermediary (FI) contract, Administrative Services Organization (ASO) contract, and the dental managed care (DMC) contracts in the areas related to beneficiary services.
Ensure timely access standards for beneficiaries looking to schedule appointments with dental providers through the dental managed care plans, the Beneficiary Dental Exception (BDE) line, and the ASO's Telephone Service Center (TSC).
Conduct beneficiary outreach and oral health education efforts.
Provide support for the dental scope hearings, State hearings, rehearing cases, conditional waivers, remands, proposed decisions, rehearing’s, Early Periodic Screening, Diagnosis, and Treatment (EPSDT) cases, and reimbursement hearings and claims as a result of the Conlan v Shrewry lawsuit.
Travel to attend meetings and/or conduct provider/staff training, contract oversight and may require overnight stays.

Permanent civil service status, be reachable on an employment list, have transfer eligibility, or have reinstatement eligibility

Submission of a Statement of Qualifications
Completion of the State Examination/Employment Application STD Form 678
Proof of education if using education to meet minimum qualifications
Preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Adaptable in a fast-paced and often changing environment
Experience working cooperatively with many levels of staff, management, and executives
