State Reporting Specialist

Responsibilities
Maintain knowledge of state reporting requirements for West Virginia
Knowledge of WVEIS 2.0 System
Oversite on school performing their own data submissions
Assist school with data issues
Investigate and trouble-shoot errors as needed
Fix errors/problems, etc. in data system
Extracts district(s’) data from various source systems and prepares data files
Upload data files into the state systems for processing and submission of data to the WV Department of Education
Ensure accurate and timely submission of data to the state Department of Education, assuring all reporting deadlines are met
Download and prepare Direct Certification reports when available; import into PowerSchool to update students
Download Payment Reports if applicable
Maintain and report staff data for staff reporting if applicable
Oversee/maintain Special Education, Limited English Proficiency (LEP), and Gifted information into Student Information System (SIS) or state system as needed
Complete Civil Rights Data Collection (CRDC) reporting
Gather data for sponsor reports and auditors
Pull data/reports for analysis
Prepare monthly analysis reports when needed
Attend professional development when offered by the state
Attend requested meetings
Perform other duties as assigned

Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Three years’ prior state reporting experience with multiple states
Comprehensive state reporting knowledge and have Advanced proficiency in data entry and MS Office, including Excel and Word
Technology competencies and knowledge of software applications (i.e. PowerSchool, SalesForce, web base reporting systems, etc.)
Experience with help desk ticketing systems
Ability to work well under pressure, and effectively prioritize and execute tasks to consistently meet deadlines
High quality written and verbal communication skills
Understanding and ability to manage confidential information
Ability to work independently and also in a team environment
Successful completion of state and federal criminal background check
