Responsibilities
Reviewing answer explanations for accuracy and soundness.
Evaluating lesson content (including teacher dialogue, classroom activities, strategies, and scaffolded learning concepts) for both its accuracy and its accessibility to students.
Catching when the wrong science term is being used, or when the critical path to a math problem is not being utilized.
Accurately reporting issues through a ticketing system or according to provided guidelines.
Maintaining quality and consistency of style in all produced content
Communicating regularly with the Managing Editor in regard to deadlines, feedback, and transparency on work progress

Required
2+ years of editing experience
Bachelors degree or higher in a field related to Math or Science, or a teaching certificate proving mastery of these subjects
Excellent writing skills, which includes accurate descriptions of errors and changes, and clear edit-tracking
Mastery of high school-level mathematics (up to pre-calculus) and science
Able to quickly learn new technology and enforce detailed standards according to style guides.
Able to follow deadlines and produce quality work with a prompt turnaround, typically within 1-3 days
Familiar with using and have access to the following: Stable internet connection, Zoom video conferencing, Slack messaging (access will be provided), Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Gmail, Dropbox, Adobe Acrobat DC
Preferred
Screen-capture and/or screen-recording software is preferred but not required
Test prep experience, high standardized tests scores, and an education background are prioritized.
