Responsibilities
Identify and assess potential business opportunities utilizing market research, business intelligence, competitive and scientific analysis, and pursue/maximize opportunities with the end goal of growing revenue and increasing profitability and market share.
Elaborate & lead the strategy development and execution for the Life Sciences pharmaceutical product lines, with a focus on upstream and downstream processing chemicals as well as excipients for biopharmaceuticals/injectables.
Lead global, high impact product development projects, supported by cross-functional team.
Focus on strategic planning for commercial success, and value proposition delivery.
Drive the development of Marketing tools & documentation for and in collaboration with Marcom and Regional Marketing:
Drive development, positioning, and launch of new products or new products applications globally by bridging innovation with market demand & aspiration.
Lead marketing of commercial launches
Set price positioning with regional marketing input for new and existing products.
Work with the global sales team to identify customer opportunities and manage the business development [sales] efforts of bioprocessing chemistry portfolio.
Drive business development for Ashland’s penetration into the bioprocessing market.

Required
At least 5 years of experience in sales, business development, marketing/product management or related field
Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, pharmacy, chemistry, or related field.
Ability to build a compelling business case to justify executing on business proposals with financial acumen
Ability to thrive in a multinational and multicultural environment
Ability to travel, up to 30% globally
An enthusiastic problem-solver with a strong result orientation
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Experience working with cross-functional teams and working collaboratively, cross-functionally, and globally
Highly analytical and strategic thinker excited to identify and create opportunities to grow business
Relevant knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry including upstream and downstream bioprocess operations/engineering.
Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making
Preferred
An advanced degree, preferably an MBA or MS
Past experience working within a phase/stage gate development process
