Responsibilities
Conduct ongoing market research to identify potential vendors and maintain knowledge of market/industry trends.
Establish connections with vendors and find new packaging suppliers for new projects and back-up suppliers for existing items.
Organize the purchase of materials for trials and attend meetings with vendors.
Update relevant databases in the ERP, participate in standard cost determination, and assist in preparing procurement reports.
Assist with periodic forecasting analysis, assist in implementing MRP, and perform routine administrative tasks for the department.

Required
Bachelor minimum
3 – 5 years preferably of related work experience in procurement and/or packaging within the manufacturing industry
Ability to negotiate, analyze, improve processes
Advanced Excel skills (pivots, v-lookups, and data manipulation)
Proven ability to communicate effectively across multi-site operations within the US and Internationally
Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task will be essential
Experience in operating in an ERP (Sage X3, SAP…) and proven ability to make improvements in the ERP
Ability to be autonomous
