Responsibilities

Design and implement innovative live streaming workflows.

Develop support tools, scripts, and dashboards to enhance operational efficiency.

Troubleshoot encoding and segmentation issues to ensure seamless streaming.

Maintain and support our live encoders and VOD transcoding farms.

Document workflows and standard operation procedures for knowledge sharing.

Provide guidance to external teams on live encoder/packaging workflows.

Required

B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.

2+ years of progressively complex related experience.

Experience in a video OTT/broadcast environment.

Basic understanding of DAI workflows in an OTT environment.

Ability to work independently to solve problems in both the video and IT domains.

Proficiency in video codecs and compression (H.264/AVC, H.265/HEVC).

Familiarity with audio codecs and containers (AAC, PCM, AC-3, EAC-3, MPEG-1 Layer-II).

Comfortable working with Mac, Linux, specifically on the command line.

Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams.

Basic scripting experience (BASH, Python, Ruby).

Comfortable troubleshooting with Transport Stream and Elementary Stream analyzers.

Experience with video transport protocols such as RTMP, SRT, Zixi, HLS, MPEG-DASH.

Experience supporting live-streaming delivery at scale.

Preferred

Experience working with AWS Elemental products considered a plus, but not required.
