Responsibilities

Design and Implement Student Experiences: Develop and execute student experiences and learning pathways that enhance student engagement, learning, and impact throughout their educational journey, from enrollment to graduation.

Drive Student Engagement and Retention: Lead initiatives to drive high student retention rates, from initial onboarding through graduation.

Manage Student Experience Team: Oversee a growing team of high-achieving individual contributors, all committed to developing an exceptional experience for our students.

Collaborate with Product & Support Teams : Work closely with the product and support teams to develop BOTH proactive student experiences that set our students up for longer term success AND problem-solve more immediate student challenges and pain points.

Mission-Driven Alignment: Partner with leadership to define learner initiatives that align with Breathe For Change’s mission and product goals. Ensure our user experience reflect and support our company values.

Continuous Improvement: Bring best practices in User Experience Design to Breathe For Change, implementing frameworks and strategies that help develop the product team and serve our students as we scale our business.

Required

3+ years experience in user experience design in a mission-driven organization, preferably within education.

Proven experience in designing end-to-end learner experiences that span significant time, with demonstrated expertise in creating experiences that drive engagement and satisfaction.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven ability to write concise and friendly email and text content, and to build rapport and solve challenges 1:1 with our students.

Skilled at influencing and aligning cross-functional teams; experience building user experience teams or functions is a plus.

Able to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution, solving challenges in a resourceful, mission-oriented way.
