Responsibilities
Provide technical knowledge and analysis of highly specialized applications and operational environment, high-level functional systems analysis, design, integration, documentation and implementation advice on moderately complex problems that require an appropriate level of knowledge of the subject matter for effective implementation.
Apply principles, methods and knowledge of the functional area of capability to specific task order requirements, advanced mathematical principles and methods to exceptionally difficult and narrowly defined technical problems in engineering and other scientific applications to arrive at automated solutions.
Assist other senior consultants with analysis and evaluation and with the preparation of recommendations for system improvements, optimization, development, and/or maintenance efforts in the following specialties:
Information systems architecture
Networking; telecommunications, automation; communications protocols, risk management/electronic analysis
Software; lifecycle management, software development methodologies, and modeling and simulation
Commensurate experience in IT and in new and related older technology that directly relates to the required area of expertise.
Serve as the go-to resource for technical, operational, or industry-specific questions.
Support decision-making by evaluating options, risks, and impacts based on their expertise.
Recommend best practices, tools, or methodologies to achieve objectives.
Review documentation, deliverables, or products for accuracy and relevance.
Ensure that content meets organizational standards, regulations, or industry guidelines.
Train or mentor team members, stakeholders, or junior professionals in their area of expertise.
Develop and deliver educational materials, workshops, or presentations.
Act as an advisor or consultant on projects requiring specialized knowledge.
Provide input on technical designs, processes, or strategies.
Analyze and resolve complex issues or challenges within their domain.
Collaborate with teams to develop effective solutions.
Author or contribute to technical manuals, procedures, policies, or guidelines.
Ensure documentation is comprehensive, accurate, and user-friendly.
Ensure deliverables comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Monitor developments in their field to maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and technologies.
Collaborate with different departments or teams to integrate expertise into broader initiatives.
Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, or quality improvements within their area of expertise.
Stay informed about trends, advancements, and emerging technologies in their field.
Align their expertise with organizational goals and contribute to achieving strategic objectives.
Help tailor products, services, or strategies to meet market demands or client needs.
