Responsibilities
Develop engineering solutions, cost estimates, schedules, and preliminary designs for substation projects.
Perform detailed design, write and evaluate material and construction specifications.
Direct drawing preparation with Drafting.
Conduct cost/benefit analysis.
Coordinate activities related to real estate, purchasing, drafting, construction, and operating groups for projects.
Provide consulting services on substation matters and standards development.
Collaborate with engineering firms contracted for substation design services.

Required
Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university required
Professional Engineer (P.E.) License or commitment to actively pursue one in Illinois and/or Missouri required
Preferred
Power option preferred
Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification preferred
Master of Science Degree preferred
Two or more years of experience with substations or related equipment, design, substation operation or maintenance or relay experience preferred
Project management or large project engineering experience is preferred
