Responsibilities

Cultural and professional development of direct reports under the PBM® philosophy
Partner with Learning & Development team and internal subject matter experts for learning content preparation and updates
Provide leadership and mentorship to early career engineers for successful operations role development
Manage training schedule and work experience plans for developmental engineers
Interact with mill development leaders and coordinate with local efforts
Maintain connections with Tissue COE Director, COE Manager, ACO, and central capability teams for strategic and tactical opportunities
Provide guidance on additional support needs to Learning & Development and other resources

Required

5 years of experience in manufacturing role(s) supporting paper making operations
Knowledge and expertise in one or more specific paper making equipment and process areas: drying systems, wet end operations, stock preparation, controls and winder/roll handling
Able to read and interpret piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID’s), layout drawings, and mechanical drawings
Competency with Microsoft Office Suite; Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
Willing and able to travel up to 50% of the time
Willing and able to work in operating environments that include platforms and catwalks, elevated temperatures, and variable humidity levels
Willing and able to work occasional weekends, nights, and holidays when needed

Preferred

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Pulp and Paper Science or Technical degree
Small group supervisory experience
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, communicate with, and mentor others in a manufacturing environment
