Responsibilities
Provides leadership to ensure effective, efficient office operations, optimizing performance and continually improving quality outcomes in a vastly changing health care environment.
Responsible for overseeing the day to day workflow of the office including the review of staffing needs and supervision and training of staff in good customer relations and office procedures.
Coordinates and plans monthly staff meetings.
Responsible for all aspects of hiring, interviewing and selecting staff.
Establishes productivity guidelines and monitors productivity and errors of staff.
Recommends and implements training based on these reports.
Works with the manager and trainer to develop an effective training program for new staff and ongoing training for existing staff.
Completes annual performance appraisals for direct reports.
Provides computer support to CBO staff. Computer system depends on supervisor’s particular area. Examples of computer systems are LastWord, CareMedic, Softco/PC Doc, PCAP.

Required
High School Diploma.
Minimum of two years experience in patient accounting, healthcare insurance or healthcare collections.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Knowledge of diagnostic and procedural coding requirements in conjunction with submission of insurance claims to third party payers.
Knowledge of personnel administration and patient relation principles.
