Responsibilities
Translates policy and operational guidance into training objectives and curriculum.
Oversees and manages a team of trainers and support staff responsible for developing and delivering governmentwide personnel vetting training.
Develops training plans and materials for the entire program office.
Collects and interprets data for the purpose of reporting progress and performance to leadership.
Provides advanced level personnel vetting advice and assistance to develop new and innovative methodologies to make personnel vetting processes and training delivery more efficient and effective.
Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, consideration of difficulty, requirements of assignments, and capabilities of employees.
Develops performance standards and evaluates performance of subordinates.
Provides advice, counsel, or instruction to individual employees on both technical and administrative matters.

Must be a U.S. Citizen or National
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation
May be required to successfully complete a probationary period

One year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level in the Federal Government (or equivalent): experience applying relevant laws and regulations related to suitability and other vetting related activities; developing or delivering suitability or other vetting-related training curriculum; assessing the impact of information on outcomes, such as how evidence may support a suitability action; and working effectively with others to accomplish goals and objectives.
Merit promotion applicants must meet the time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS14 level.
You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
