Responsibilities
Collaborate with suppliers to improve production processes, reduce waste, and enhance efficiency.
Identify areas for process improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement at supplier facilities.
Implement Lean and Six Sigma principles to optimize production lines and reduce operational costs.
Provide technical support and training to suppliers to enhance their production capabilities.
Work with suppliers to introduce new technologies or processes that improve quality and productivity.
Assist in the qualification of new suppliers and monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs).
Work with cross-functional teams to introduce new products to suppliers, ensuring a smooth transition from design to production.
Support suppliers in the validation and ramp-up phases for new products.
Address and resolve technical production issues at suppliers' facilities.
Investigate and troubleshoot process failures, equipment malfunctions, and production delays.
Work with suppliers to implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring issues.
Act as the main point of contact between internal teams and external suppliers for process-related matters.
Provide regular updates on supplier performance, process improvements, and project progress to management.
Collaborate with the purchasing and quality teams to resolve issues related to material availability, lead times, and supplier performance.
Identify and promote continuous improvement initiatives both internally and at supplier facilities.
Participate in cross-functional teams to implement best practices, process enhancements, and innovative solutions.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing)
7-10 years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing engineering, preferably with experience in supplier management or supply chain operations.
Experience in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement methodologies.
Hands-on experience with process optimization, root cause analysis, and quality control.
Ability to travel to supplier locations as needed.
Preferred
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with both internal teams and suppliers.
Knowledge of quality management systems and familiarity with Department of Defense regulatory requirements.
Proficiency in data analysis tools and process simulation software.
