Responsibilities
Responsible for overseeing the system development activities including planning, requirements, design, implementation, verification, and validation
Ensure compliance with ARP-4754A development practices and produce necessary artifacts
Ensure system design compliance with certification, cyber security, quality, and safety standards
Continuously improve the system engineering processes and methodologies
Perform all Systems Engineering aspects of project planning, scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation
Responsible for the people management aspect of the system engineering organization including hiring, performance evaluation, providing feedback, and support and guidance on professional development
Provide executive status reports to leadership as required during weekly status checks and monthly PMRs

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related STEM degree from an accredited university or college
10+ years of experience working in a highly technical, aerospace-related industry
4+ years of experience working in a Systems Engineering position and 3+ years of experience managing a team
Familiarity with all phases of the Systems Engineering design process: ConOps, requirements development, software/system Architecture, system Integration and test, Verification and Validation
Experience with ARP 4754A as well as support for System Safety reviews per ARP 4761
Preferred
Master’s degree in engineering or related field
Experience working on certified aerospace programs
Knowledge of MBSE development (CAMEO)
