Responsibilities

Assist in designing scalable and secure cloud architectures across public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.

Collaborate with fellow architects to evaluate and recommend cloud services, tools, and technologies that meet business needs.

Support the team with design of automation, management of cloud-based solutions, ensuring alignment with networking, security, compliance, and performance standards.

Participate in the development of technical documentation, best practices, and architectural frameworks.

Provide guidance to cross-functional teams on best practices for cloud networking and connectivity.

Ensure application and network designs follow reliability best practices to support active-active or active-passive configurations for multi-region architectures.

Stay current with industry trends and emerging cloud technologies to contribute to innovation within the architecture team.

Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.

Required

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems/Technology or related major field of study.

5 or more years of experience required in engineering/administration.

High School diploma/GED.

7 or more years of experience in Information Systems.

Ability to communicate fluently orally and in writing, and present complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Ability to rapidly absorb new technical information and apply it effectively.

Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates.

Experience with scripting frameworks and languages such as Ansible, Python, Bash.

Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and cloud governance.

Knowledge of SD-WAN, MPLS, and cloud-native networking concepts.

Must be able to take ambiguously defined problems and translate them into an action plan, then drive the action plan to an implemented solution.

Preferred

Master's degree from an accredited institution required in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems/Technology or related major field of study.

3 or more years of experience in systems engineering/administration.

10 or more years of experience in Transportation/Intermodal Operations, Information Systems, or Logistics.

Cloud Certifications: Azure Certifications are a plus.

Network Certifications: Azure Network Engineer Associate, CCNA or equivalent is a plus.

Security Certifications: ISC2 CCSP, Fortinet Certified Solutions Specialist or equivalent is a plus.
