Responsibilities

Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for non-profit and corporate entities, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
Manage the preparation and filing of Form 990 for non-profit organizations, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations.
Oversee the preparation and reporting of deferred taxes, UBIT, and other tax obligations specific to non-profit organizations.
Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, staying updated on changes and their implications.
Handle tax notices in a timely manner
Lead and coordinate tax audits, including preparing necessary documentation and representing the organization in discussions with tax authorities.

Required

Bachelor’s or associate degree in a financial discipline.
3+ years of experience in a tax environment- 990 Experience required
Knowledge of tax transaction and compliance, both domestic and international.
Involved in all aspects of tax research and works closely with the Manager, Tax to provide input in various direct and indirect tax issues.
Responsible for carrying out daily tax activities including transaction tax, completing and filing various returns, and other core tax functions.
Supporting more complex organization activities involving tax (ex. mergers, acquisitions, establishment of new entities) to ensure continued alignment with and compliance to applicable tax law.

Manage the preparation and filing of Form 990 for non-profit organizations, ensuring compliance with IRS regulations.

Basic understanding Finance technology (MS Dynamics, Vertex, Magento preferred)
