Responsibilities
Direct and Oversee the preparation of the Company’s tax provision, ensuring accurate reporting and compliance with ASC 740 and financial statement disclosures.
Lead and manage the preparation and filing of federal, state, and international tax returns, ensuring compliance with U.S. and global tax regulations.
Develop and execute tax planning strategies to optimize the company’s effective tax rate and support business growth.
Ensure and monitor compliance with indirect tax obligations, including VAT, GST, and sales tax, across multiple jurisdictions.
Select and manage external tax advisors and internal teams on complex tax issues, audits, and cross-border transactions.
Provide expertise on U.S. and international tax regulations, staying ahead of evolving laws and advising on their impact on the business.
Partner with finance, legal, and product teams to integrate tax strategies with business initiatives and financial operations.
Prepare, analyze, and review financial statement tax disclosures and coordinate with auditors during tax provision reviews and audits.
Identify, design, and implement process improvements and automation to enhance the efficiency of tax compliance and reporting functions.
Design and implement controls, processes, policies, and procedures to ensure accuracy, compliance, and governance across all areas of tax.
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks to protect the company from potential exposures.
Manage, mentor, and develop other tax and accounting staff, fostering a high-performance team environment.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Tax (master degree preferred).
CPA is required.
15+ years of experience in tax, with concentrations in US income tax, international taxes, and indirect taxes (VAT, GST, telecommunications, sales tax), ideally within a SaaS or technology-driven company.
Strong knowledge of U.S. and global tax regulations, including cross-border transaction rules, withholding tax, and permanent establishment risks.
Experience with India taxation and transfer pricing arrangements. Experience working with auditors in that jurisdiction.
Proven experience managing tax provisions and financial statement disclosures in accordance with ASC 740.
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing tax planning strategies with profitable companies that align with business objectives and optimize the effective tax rate.
Experience working with external auditors, tax authorities, and advisors to manage audits and resolve complex tax issues.
Expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining tax-related controls, processes, policies, and procedures.
Familiarity with automation tools and software to streamline tax compliance and reporting functions.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with experience managing and developing high-performing tax and accounting teams.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with a track record of working cross-functionally with finance, legal, and product teams.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with changing tax regulations and business needs.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
