Responsibilities

Review, analyze, and implement new information reporting and withholding requirements.

Draft business requirement documents (BRD) for withholding, electronic 1099s, and other reporting requirements.

Collaborate with product and engineering, legal and privacy, risk and compliance, accounting, and other cross-functional teams to capture facts and develop strategies to ensure compliance with IR&W procedures such as withholding and reporting requirements.

Manage integration projects for acquired companies, ensuring their information reporting and withholding processes align with eBay’s core procedures, while identifying and addressing any potential gaps or risks.

Identify procedural and systems gaps and differences in reporting procedures between company entities and implement standardization where possible.

Partner with teams to optimize tax processes and leverage technology to implement IR&W processes, including withholding and crypto.

Work with analytics to build reports for forecasting withholding and reporting.

Analyze information used in the preparation of various information returns and collaborate with third-party tax vendors on information returns.

Assist with IRS Notices such as CP2100 and taxpayer identification number (TIN) solicitations.

Review Forms W-9, W-8BEN, W-8BEN-E, Letter 147C, Letter 685C, and similar documentation.

Become familiar with all eBay marketplace platforms and the tax information collection experience for each platform.

Provide support to IR&W team members as needed.

Required

1+ years of people leadership, managerial, or supervisory experience.

2-4 years of experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously.

2-4 years of experience building positive relationships with partners, colleagues, and collaborators.

Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, MS PowerPoint, Google Slides, and Atlassian’s Jira and Confluence products.

Clear and concise communication skills.

Ability to quickly grasp complex tax requirements and communicate them to other partners.

Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team member.

Preferred

2-4 years of experience working with IRS tax forms (e.g., W-8/W-9) validation.

2-4 years of experience with US tax principles.
