Responsibilities
Provide tax risk management through the inspection process.
Prepare Policy and Procedure and Technical inspections across all offices
Identify area of training as a result of inspection metrics.
Research tax law.
Develop recommendations as a result of inspection metrics and share with leadership to discuss and strategize
Design and implement policies to enhance and safeguard operations of the tax practice
Modernize existing tax policies to coincide with improvements and updates in technology, tax laws, etc.
Analyze issues brought forth from the tax practice and provide resolution
Develop policy communications for the tax practice
Learn and grow from direct on the job coaching and mentoring along with participating in firm wide learning and development programs
Utilize your entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong relationships internally
Support the growth and development of team members through the Baker Tilly Care and Teach philosophy, helping associates meet their professional goals

Required
Bachelor's degree in accounting or law, or a similar degree in business
CPA or JD required
5 plus years of experience with tax compliance and reviewing
Partnership tax experience required
Demonstrated strong research and analytical skills
Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated skills in the areas of project management, relationship building, collaboration, problem solving, initiative and adaptability
Attention to detail while focusing on policies and procedures
Ability to work independently
Preferred
Experience in tax technology is a plus
