Responsibilities
Manage and review tax engagements for a diverse portfolio of small to large-sized clients.
Prepare and review tax provisions, including ASC 740 and SSAP 101 compliance.
Assist with and review complex consolidated tax returns, including those involving combined/unitary states.
Lead tax research and consulting projects, providing expertise and assistance in preparing tax opinion letters.
Provide effective and timely feedback, mentoring, and guidance to tax staff.
Actively participate in business development events to build client relationships and grow the firm's presence.

Required
Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
Licensed CPA or CPA eligible.
3-5 years of recent public accounting experience in tax.
Proficiency in corporate tax return preparation and tax issues, with a working knowledge of consolidated return issues (federal and state).
Strong problem-solving and client-relationship management skills.
Willingness to collaborate with and learn from team members.
Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, including clear and concise writing and verbal abilities.
Preferred
Preferred experience with insurance tax.
