Responsibilities

Develop and implement tax minimization strategies.
Deliver high-quality client service while adapting to the firm's practices, policies, and culture.
Exhibit professional competence to create a positive impression with clients.
Design innovative savings strategies and continuously reassess plans as needed.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, including the creation of tax strategies and planning ideas.
Support directors/Principals by managing detailed reviews of their engagements, enabling them to serve more clients effectively.
Train, supervise, and review the work of other tax staff.
Identify issues and opportunities to expand the consulting practice.
Conduct performance evaluations constructively and timely, providing ongoing feedback to employees.
Maintain required annual Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.

Required

5+ years of experience in public accounting.
Strong communication, research, analytical, and writing skills.
Broad tax knowledge and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to establish rapport and communicate effectively with clients.
Competence in reviewing and providing professional feedback on tax work prepared by staff.
Capability to manage own clients and build a book of business.
Supervisory experience over senior-level accountants.
Ability to adhere to budgets and deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to gather, organize, and summarize information efficiently.
Proficient in training, orienting, and mentoring staff.
Experience with software such as Profx Tax and Engagement, Excel, XCM, iChannel, BNA, etc.
Maintain required annual Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits.

Preferred

CPA or EA preferred.
MBA or MS in Taxation is highly desirable.
Expertise in areas like construction, real estate, government, estate planning, trusts and wills, S-corps, and pass-through entities is a plus.
