Responsibilities
Partner with Design and Product Development team at initial handoff and complete initial spec development. Execute proto fittings & following comments for SMS launch.
Track and receive incoming sample shipments, compile weekly fit list, book fit models weekly
Spec and prep garments for fitting. Lead fittings for designated product categories
Write fit comments, inclusive of revised specs and detail photos. Analyze and advise on factory pattern corrections as needed.
Maintain consistent size & fit based on Proenza Schouler standards. Elevate standards when possible.
Establish and maintain standard constructions for external and internal components.
Approve model invoices weekly. Analyze weekly model spend compared to budget. Provide quarterly reports on model budget.
Daily communication with overseas vendors via email, video call, and WhatsApp messaging.
Collaborate daily with design, product development and production teams to ensure ideal product while maintaining margins and deadlines.
Attend weekly meetings with Production team to confirm trim & BOM details, and production status of samples.
Interface with sales and merchandising teams at seasonal touch points to receive & provide fit feedback.
Interview and hire interns seasonally. Manage and train interns daily.
Assist with Denim fittings when needed.
Take on additional projects as needed.

Required
5-10 years’ experience as a women’s technical designer.
Experience in measuring garments and leading fittings for a wide range of product categories.
Basic sweater & fully fashioned knitwear knowledge.
Strong knowledge of luxury garment construction.
Strong knowledge of patternmaking & draping.
Ability to communicate fit and pattern corrections to overseas factories.
Ability to communicate and interface with design, product development, sales, and production teams.
Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Strong time management and multitasking skills.
Strong organizational skills, technical & detail-oriented.
Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment.
Proactive, dedicated, deadline-driven and self-motivated.
