Responsibilities
Create a positive, safe working environment, and mentor students
Design or supervise all technical elements for productions
Develop budgets and plans for productions
Supervise and schedule students for technical crew positions
Produce finished productions within deadlines
Coordinate students in construction and maintenance of production elements
Support fine and performing arts projects on and off campus
Maintain equipment and performance facilities
Attend and report in meetings
Provide technical support for outside organizations during facility rentals
Other duties as assigned

Required
Education – college degree with a concentration in Technical Theatre preferred; some college with demonstrated work history may be considered as equivalent
Experience – ideally a minimum three years technical theatre experience; limited technical theatre experience will be taken into consideration. Prior teaching experience preferred.
Required Skills and Capabilities – must be able to design and construct props, scenery, sets, lighting, and sound; ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team; excellent verbal and written communication; budget planning/management
Physical Requirements – ability to carry up to 75 lbs.; valid driver license
