Responsibilities
Deliver against client business requirements, with a focus on chemical simulation and optimization projects.
Manage executive level client relationships and provide team oversight with internal and external team members.
Direct and oversee multiple active client engagements, demonstrating versatility in managing projects in chemistry, materials science, and industrial biotech.
Manage all aspects of the client engagement including requirements alignment, scope definition, status reports, project plans, training and resource management.
Strong communication skills and experience managing internal and external stakeholders.
Share with team members your expertise in chemical, materials science, and industrial biotech partnered projects, and enforce implementation best practices.
Participate in operational issues related to specific engagements, including billings, expenses, staffing, utilization management, risk management, issue resolution management, etc.
Drive incremental revenue through client relationship building and identifying additional opportunities for SandboxAQ.

Required
Master's Degree (or Bachelor’s Degree with equivalent experience) in chemistry, physics, materials science, (chemical) engineering or closely related physical-sciences domain expertise.
3 years experience with Master’s Degree (or 5 years with Bachelor’s Degree) in an engagement (alliance) management or management consulting focused role.
Experience in the chemical and materials industries required.
Experience in the discovery and development process of new alloys, catalysts (including enzymes), protein design, or battery chemistry is necessary with experience in program management, technology implementation, or legal support for research programs preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, executive level presence and experience in facilitating research projects with academic, public, industrial biotech, chemical, or materials science sectors.
Experience leading deeply technical customer-facing projects.
Ability to perform in a fast growing environment typical of a start-up.
Passion to work cross-functionally with our internal team and our partners to build credibility, trust, and respect to enable strong partnership and deliver the most value.
Preferred
Enterprise level project management experience (SOWs, contract management, risk management, staffing) preferred, demonstrating the ability to adapt to different industry requirements.
