Responsibilities
Lead EDI Development : Take a hands-on approach in designing, developing, and implementing EDI solutions using Edifecs tools and platform, including SpecBuilder, Transaction Manager, and other Edifecs components.
EDI Architecture & Integration : Provide guidance on the architecture and integration of EDI solutions, ensuring they meet business requirements and are scalable for future needs.
Transaction Management : Lead the development and management of EDI transactions, including the creation of specifications, mapping, and configuration for 270/271, 278, and other relevant EDI transaction sets.
Testing & Automation : Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and scripts for EDI transactions. Oversee testing processes, ensuring that transactions meet required specifications and pass schema validation. Introduce automated testing and optimize regression suites to improve testing efficiency.
AWS Integration : Leverage AWS services to manage EDI transactions, ensuring the system is highly available, reliable, and scalable.
Team Leadership : Guide and mentor a team of developers and testers. Provide leadership and direction on best practices, ensuring quality deliverables and meeting deadlines.
Process Improvement : Identify areas for optimization and implement improvements in EDI transaction workflows, test plans, and deployment processes.
Stakeholder Communication : Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project managers, business analysts, and external partners, to ensure requirements are met and expectations are aligned.
Issue Resolution : Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to EDI transactions, including issues with schema validation, transaction failures, and performance bottlenecks.
Documentation : Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, specifications, and test plans.

Required
5+ years of experience in EDI development, including hands-on experience with the Edifecs toolset (e.g., SpecBuilder, Transaction Manager, XEngine Server).
Proven track record of working with various EDI transaction sets (e.g., 270/271, 278, 835, 837) and understanding of relevant industry standards (HIPAA, CAQH, NCPDP).
Strong experience in transaction mapping, rules implementation, and troubleshooting EDI transaction errors.
Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based architecture for EDI systems.
Experience in writing and executing test plans and test scripts, including automated testing.
Experience with DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines and regression suite automation.
Hands-on experience in coding and scripting (e.g., Shell scripting, Python, COBOL).
Experience with transaction manager and working with EDI specifications and mapping tools.
Familiarity with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda) and the integration of cloud services with EDI tools.
Strong understanding of EDI standards and protocols (X12, HIPAA, etc.).
Strong leadership abilities with experience managing technical teams.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred
Experience with DevOps and automation in an EDI context.
Familiarity with CAQH CORE standards and experience with interactive EDI transactions.
