Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and support large-scale networks using various network technologies like OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, MPLS, VLANs, HSRP, ACLs, etc.
Participate in project teams addressing IT issues related to network infrastructure systems.
Coordinate deployment of networking services for agencies and implement new releases following defined processes.
Isolate faults and ensure optimal service availability, conduct Root Cause Analysis, and follow Problem Management processes.
Plan, direct work, and manage projects through implementation, maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, and provide technical leadership.
Possess hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing networking technology solutions in large-scale enterprise environments.

Required
Demonstrated experience in designing, deploying, and supporting large-scale networks utilizing various network technologies including OSPF, EBGP, IBGP, Optimized Edge Routing, VRFs, MPLS, Layer 3 Ether-channels, VLANs, L2TPVPN, HSRP, ACLs, AAA services (TACACS, Radius), NetFlow V5/V9, IP SLA, NTP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP V2/V3, Layer 2/Layer 3 QoS, Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, NX-OS, IOS-XR, Cisco ISR routers, Cisco ASR routers, Network Virtualization
Participation in project teams focused on network infrastructure systems
Strong customer service orientation, teamwork, effective communication, organizational awareness, and technical leadership
Implementation of new releases of service components into the operational environment following defined processes
Coordination of deployment and implementation projects for networking services provided to agencies
Development of implementation and deployment plans, along with coordination during execution
Fault isolation and remediation to ensure optimal service availability
Root Cause Analysis tasks to determine pervasive problem sources
Analyzing system Known Errors to determine effective solutions according to Problem Management processes
Following work processes and procedures for quick and effective technical problem resolution
Ability to plan, direct the work of others, and manage projects through implementation
Effective oral and written communication skills
Development and maintenance of effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Hands-on experience as a Senior Engineer in designing, implementing, and managing networking technology solutions in large-scale enterprise environments
Hands-on experience with Cisco ASR Router platforms, specifically ASR 9902, 9903, 9904, and ASR 9000 Series nV technology
Ability to upgrade OS for suite of ASR routers and physically install them into remote WAN POPs
Technical knowledge to configure routers with MPLS, OSPF, BGP routing best practices
Experience with deploying and transitioning services during approved after-hour maintenance windows
Preferred
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP) certifications or equivalent
Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) certifications
Completed ITIL Foundations Certification
