Responsibilities

Serve as SME for AASHTOWare Project software.
Analyze data and create User Stories.
Engineering/re-engineering current/future processes.
Develop SQL queries and XML interface changes.
Work as part of a SCRUM team to deliver software.
Define User Stories for NCDOT software implementation and enhancement requests.
Ensure team comprehension of technical and functional concepts.
Document NCDOT User Stories specific to NCDOT Bidding and Letting business processes using AWP software.
Develop Use Cases, Test Cases, test scripts, UX modifications using XML, and reporting using SQL.
Ensure software quality for new enhancements as assigned.
Provide support for Pilot projects in development.
Design integrations with other legacy NCDOT applications and systems.
Meet with NCDOT stakeholders to gather intelligence and demonstrate system capabilities.
Work with other analysts and developers to break down the design into milestones and work items.
Track status of progress and manage communication and dependencies to the technical team and business customer as needed.
Coordinate test validation and rollout for functional components.

Required

Experience with AASHTOWare Project (AWP) software, especially Preconstruction, Civil Rights & Labor Data Analytics modules
General knowledge of software development methodology, enterprise systems and industry or professional standards
Experience with writing technical documentation
Excellent written and verbal communications - easily understands and is easily understood by others in highly collaborative, fast-paced teams
Experience with using SQL for querying databases, analyzing data and exporting/reporting out results
Experience using XML, especially in the context of modifying application user interfaces and editing exported system files
Experience with supporting product changes/change management
Experience with identifying, documenting, troubleshooting, validating, and resolving customer and system issues
Experience reviewing/analyzing software technical specifications and identifying relevant support information
Experience creating visualizations/process diagrams
Experience using Azure DevOps as part of an Agile team
Experience with collaborative prototyping & demo for new solutions
Experience writing training documentation for end users
Experience with process engineering, and creating supporting visualizations

Preferred

General knowledge of IT technologies, architecture, infrastructure, and data center operations
General knowledge of market analysis data analysis techniques and conventions
Experience with project coordination
Experience with MS Teams environment
Experience with large systems that require integration with other enterprise systems (legacy systems, SharePoint, SAP, etc.)
