Responsibilities

Ensure product support requests are handled in a timely manner and give an effective resolution of internal customer inquiries, issues and escalations related to glass & metal products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the Product and Innovation team to address and resolve product-related challenges.
Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting assistance through application support for internal customers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, internal customers, and the broader Product and Innovation team to ensure successful application of our products in all environments.
Track status of technical support requests and report-out through monthly dashboards.
Identify opportunities for product improvements and request related engineering changes for standard products.
Provide training and support to internal customers. Evaluate technical requests to identify opportunities to provide resources and training to customer facing facilities and internal customers.
Represent OBE at industry trade associations (i.e. FGIA, ASTM, NGA, NFRC, etc.)

Required

An associate degree in Engineering or related field
5+ years’ experience in product knowledge, product application, project design, manufacturing, engineering and/or application of architectural glass/fenestration products
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Teams, and PowerPoint
Accuracy and attention to detail
Must be a proven self-starter requiring minimal supervision, with strong problem-solving skills
Critical thinking / using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to opportunities
Ability to multitask in a deadline-driven environment and shift priorities as needed
Highly accountable to self and others, drives closure of tasks, and completes quality work on time
Team-oriented, possess a positive attitude, and works well with others
Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred

Bachelor’s degree
Experience with Autodesk AutoCAD, NFRC thermal software, Window Glass Design software and design pressure & structural analysis software
