Responsibilities

Leading and participating in design activities on various telecom systems for customers

Working collaboratively within the Engineering team and with customers

Outlining, coordinating, and communicating engineering requirements for systems

Providing direction and guidance on system design & specification

Writing detailed design specifications and system functional narratives

Developing Bill of Materials (BOM) and supporting procurement

Conducting Coverage Modeling & Surveying for RF Systems

Directing design & coordinating with CAD specialists for system plans development

Overseeing vendor fabrication and execution of QA/QC Inspection Procedures

Leading development of Construction/Installation Work Packages

Guiding development of Testing Procedures and Execution of Testing Plans

Telecom Systems EngineerTechnical Designer

Required

5-10+ years as a Telecom Systems Engineer or Technical Designer

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Network Systems, or related technical field is preferred

Experience and/or training in several of the following systems: Radio towers & Communications Shelters, Outside Plant (OSP) Communications Cabling, Inside Plant (ISP) Communications Cabling, Satellite Communications, LTE/5G, Two-way Radio, Public Address & General Alarm (PAGA), Voice over IP (VoIP), Master Clock, Point-to-Point (PTP)/Point-to-Multipoint (PTMP) Radio, Audio-Visual (A/V), Access Control (ACS), Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV), Asset Tracking, Transport and access networks including SONET, DWDM, MPLS, FTTx, HFC, DOCSIS, etc., LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi

Preferred

An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Network Systems, or related technical field
