Responsibilities
Achieve Sales Targets : Proactively engage with Pet Specialty Retailers across your designated territory to achieve targeted sales revenue from both distributor and retail accounts. Your ability to meet forecasted goals is essential to our success.
Grow Existing Accounts : Take ownership of maintaining and expanding our existing consumables base, ensuring consistent growth and customer satisfaction.
Strategic Sales Management : Implement and manage sales campaigns and strategies tailored to your territory, aiming to surpass company revenue objectives and enhance market share.
Account Development : Cultivate strong relationships with established accounts while actively seeking out and developing new accounts to increase market penetration and drive growth.
Customer Needs Analysis : Conduct thorough research to understand the evolving needs and preferences of our customers, and effectively communicate these insights to the sales leadership team for strategic planning purposes.
Presentations and Prospecting : Prepare compelling presentations and leverage your persuasive skills to prospect, pursue, and successfully close new retailer partnerships within your territory.
Strengthen Customer Relationships : Continuously nurture and strengthen relationships with distributors and retail partners, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and loyalty.
Trade Show Management : Take charge of managing local trade shows and national events within your territory, maximizing our brand visibility and engagement opportunities.

Required
Enthusiastic and motivated individual who shares a passion for pets.
Experience in pet, lawn and garden background.
Reside in the Phoenix Metro area.
Ability to meet forecasted sales goals.
Ownership of maintaining and expanding existing consumables base.
Implement and manage sales campaigns and strategies tailored to the territory.
Cultivate strong relationships with established accounts and develop new accounts.
Conduct thorough research to understand customer needs and preferences.
Prepare compelling presentations and leverage persuasive skills to close new retailer partnerships.
Nurture and strengthen relationships with distributors and retail partners.
Manage local trade shows and national events within the territory.
Ability to travel extensively (minimum of 60% overnight travel).
Strong communication skills.
Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent practical work experience.
3+ years of Pet Specialty Industry experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of competitive products.
Excellent time management skills.
Strategic thinker with a relentless drive for growth.
Ability to utilize Microsoft Office applications.
