Responsibilities
Promote/sell/secure orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach
Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs, and to explain how these needs could be met by our specific products
Demonstrate products to existing/potential customers and assist them in selecting those best suited to their needs
Provide high-quality customer service to accounts who have questions by means of phone calls, emails, and/or in-person meetings
Research sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential
Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences
Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts
Secure opportunities to quote on customer requirements
Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers
Establish professional customer/vendor relationships with appropriate customer personnel (purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, quality assurance, management, other key personnel)
Answer customers’ questions about products, prices, availability, or credit terms
Emphasize product features based on analysis of customers’ needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations
Negotiate prices or terms of sales or service agreements
Maintain customer records, using automated systems
Prepare sales contracts for orders obtained, and submit orders for processing
Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information, such as selling strategies or marketing information
Represent company at trade association meetings, events, and conventions to promote products
All other duties as assigned

Required
Must possess sales experience.
Possession of at least a high school diploma is required.
Must successfully pass all required background screenings and obtain the requisite security clearance(s) to gain access to locations which require more stringent background scrutiny (example: military bases/installations).
Must maintain a valid Driver's license to have the ability to operate a motor vehicle and travel domestically and internationally by plane.
Must be willing to travel overnight in and out of territory.
Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).
Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications, Google applications, Customer Relationship Management software.
Preferred
A post-secondary degree is preferred.
Bilingual or multi-lingual a plus.
