Responsibilities

Develop Python and C++ software for hardware in the loop test platforms
Collaborate with design team to create test plans and documentation
Analyze data, identify root causes, and propose design enhancements
Advocate for quality standards internally and externally
Conduct DVT, reliability, and compliance testing
Travel to off-site facilities as needed (10%)

Required

BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent, and 5+ years of relevant experience
Experience with python, and command-line operations in a UNIX-like OS, and NI LabVIEW
Familiarity with low-level embedded firmware development in C and C++
Hands-on experience designing, building and debugging electro-mechanical test setups
Experience with lab equipment including oscilloscopes, power supplies, programmable loads, thermal probes
Experience with communication interfaces, e.g. CAN, Ethernet, SPI, and I2C
Be able to multitask, and change priorities quickly as needed
Be able to clearly communicate test results and data

Preferred

Experience with test automation
Familiarity with position encoder and force sensor technology
Experience working with robots and/or robotic systems.
Experience with DFMEA and HALT
Experience with safety-rated systems
