Responsibilities
Responsible for completing timekeeping duties; to include reviewing and editing time and payroll records.
Serve as the first contact point for employees and supervisors regarding any questions they have about their pay.
Provide assistance with paperwork and timekeeping functions relating to payroll.
Complete general accounting duties such as processing invoices, payments and encumbrances for purchase order creation.
Maintains grant accounting files, both electronic and hard copy and the archive process for all prior period files.
Assists in the preparation of journal entries, variance analysis and budget transfers.
Contribute to the development, review and revision of operating instructions and procedures.
Assist Sr. Accountants with the annual grant application process and the grant closeout process.
Maintain the Fiscal Department accounting lists, accountant assignment list, and the grant funding list.
Responsible for addressing a limited assignment of questions/requests from MOA and AHD.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required
High school diploma, GED or equivalent and four (4) years of experience in the field related to the position.
OR Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance or similar discipline and two (2) years of experience in the field related to the position.
OR Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Finance or similar discipline and experience in the field related to the position.
All applicants must possess and/or complete: State of Alaska Driver’s License at time of hire.
Applicants should have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft products: Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Teams, and Outlook.
Preferred
A typing speed of 50 words per minute (WPM)
