Responsibilities

Design complicated dies, tools, gauges, and fixtures based on process sheets and parts prints.

Ensure tooling design meets the needs of the process, cost/timing commitments, and close tolerance specifications.

Utilize computer-aided design techniques for design work.

Create and maintain technical documentation for manufacturing and operating tooling.

Participate in product and tooling design reviews, identify opportunities for improvement, and support cross-functional teams on tooling projects.

Drive continuous improvement in tooling processes to enhance efficiency and product design.

Support other Engineers on significant projects.

Follow all company policies and procedures, including the use of proper PPE.

Required

B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent discipline preferred. Equivalent experience in a directly related role will be considered in lieu of a degree.

5 or more years of experience in tool design with an emphasis on tool holding fixtures.

Proficiency in Siemens NX.

Knowledge of GD&T dimensioning and SPC.

Experience with developing new tooling designs or major design upgrades for various types of tooling.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

Must be a United States Citizen, or a US Permanent Resident
