Responsibilities

Drive the collaborative design process for developer tooling for the Midnight ecosystem.

Take charge of the end-to-end process, leading the design, implementation, documentation, and testing of cutting-edge tooling.

Independently undertake complex software development tasks, demonstrating proactive initiative and requiring minimal supervision or mentoring.

Produce clean, efficient code that aligns with pre-established acceptance criteria and specifications.

Thoroughly document all aspects of the code and solutions, ensuring clarity and ease of understanding for other team members.

Collaborate with vendors, partners, and stakeholders to create prototypes and conduct feasibility studies, evaluating their potential impact and feasibility.

Create detailed architecture documents, guidelines, and best practices for development teams to follow.

Required

Demonstrate an in-depth understanding and substantial experience in the implementation of developer tooling, programming languages, and run-time systems.

Showcase experience in writing developer tooling.

Bring innovative solutions to tooling design challenges, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in implementation.

Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.

Proven experience as an Architect or Senior Software Engineer in developer tooling and, preferably, blockchain technology.

Experience developing solutions with TypeScript/JavaScript.

Proven success in designing and implementing developer tooling solutions.

Experience in security and compliance within the blockchain domain.

Experience working in agile development environments and applying agile methodologies to blockchain projects.

Experience developing LSP solutions and/or IDE extensions.
