Responsibilities

Develop collaborative relationships with business line management, subject matter experts, and other Organizational Effectiveness staff to identify learning opportunities to close knowledge or performance gaps and gather source content for learning curriculum.
Facilitate technical skills, soft skills, and career and professional development programs.
Establish performance objectives, learning outcomes, and assessment tools, utilizing established instructional theories and design principles; Deliver blended and classroom-based instruction.
Modify custom-designed or off-the-shelf classroom and blended learning programs, based on audience needs.
Analyze the effectiveness of learning interventions through associate job performance and post-course delivery assessments; Create assessments for reinforcement, including situational and scenario-based questions; Provide post-learning follow-up to support learning transfer.
Provide regular updates to department management of status of all development activities, completion of milestones, and potential conflicts.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required

Associate's degree in business-related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
One (1) year learning content delivery experience for classroom, or training support or combination of team lead/supervisory roles or responsibilities of mentoring/coaching employees to proficiency in a call center or related financial services business or Training Apprentice Program (TAP) graduate.
Demonstrate behaviors based on established Velera values.
Knowledge of adult learning theory.
Ability to demonstrate flexibility, adaptability, and a tolerance for change.
Professional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate thoughts and ideas.
Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and/or projects at one time.
Customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with customers and staff from all departments within and outside Velera.
Analytical and interpretation skills including departmental, utilization, financial, and operations data.
Decision-making skills, with the ability to investigate and weigh alternatives and select a course of action that provides the greatest organizational benefit.
Creative thinking skills with the ability to ask big-picture questions that lead to process and team improvements.
Time management skills with the ability to prioritize and schedule daily activities to maximize efficient use of time.
Problem-solving skills with the ability to seek root causes and implementable, workable solutions.
Interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and participate as an independent contributor with little supervision or as an active team member depending on situation and needs.
Computer knowledge includes working with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook at the intermediate level.
Ability to 'think on one’s feet' and tailor the delivery of classroom learning as needed.
Must have a track record of producing accurate work, demonstrate attention to detail, and reflect well on the organization.
