Responsibilities

Run a 3-to-5-man crew for full assembly and re-gasketing of power transformers.

Conduct transformer testing including Doble power factor, SFRA, Leakage Reactance, DC Winding Resistance, TTR, Megger, and troubleshoot/test alarm circuits.

Comply with company safety rules and procedures.

Manage tools, test equipment, and vehicles.

Required

3 years supervision experience

Basic computer skills (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Exercises good communication, negotiation, organizational and time management skills

Valid driver’s license and a good driving record (CDL must be obtained and would be a plus if already acquired)

Ability and willingness to work out of town

Ability to adapt to changing technology

Ability to work outside in an electrical substation environment, exposure to heat and cold, climbing stairs and ladders, lifting up to 50 pounds and working in elevated areas

Ability to work on and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical circuits and components

Ability to recognize, isolate, and release stored energy in mechanical components
