Responsibilities

Maintenance- Troubleshooting, repair, calibration, and preventative maintenance of equipment and systems.
Projects- Participation in planning, installation, and integration of new or replacement equipment and systems.
Quality Control- Ensuring highest quality of outgoing and incoming signals and content, as well as quality control of installations equipment and documentation.
Customer Service- Providing high-quality customer service to primary customers including Teleport operations, Distribution technology, CNN satellites/SNG, and the TBS networks.

Required

5 to 8-year Compression Engineering Experience or Equivalent
4-Year Technical Degree or 2-year technical degree with equivalent experience
Understands networking/routing protocols
UDP, unicast, multicast
Understanding of Video standards related to transport (SD/HDSDI, ASI, IP and other compression formats)
Proficient in AutoCAD and Visio
Mpeg encoding systems
Cisco, Arris and Harmonic
Must possess the legal right to work in the United States

Preferred

Studio, Network Operations and Digital Television distribution
IT Data certifications
Cable TV and IPTV experience
Remote Monitoring and Control System experience (SNMP based)
Good working knowledge of MPEG-2, MPEG-4, J2k, multiplexes and conditional access
