Responsibilities

Develops, defines, and analyzes solutions to moderately complex engineering problems.

Plans and conducts engineering projects involving independent evaluation and substantial adaptation of standard techniques.

Coordinates detailed phases of engineering work as part of a major project.

Performs impact analysis, designs, and manipulates large data sets.

Identifies, investigates, and analyzes problems, and develops appropriate solutions.

Prepares technical specifications for software and processes.

Maintains knowledge of engineering principles and industry codes.

Recommends new practices and procedures, and performs economic evaluations of programs and projects.

Reviews and evaluates bids, develops design criteria, and reviews operational processes.

Travels to various locations as necessary to gather engineering information.

Required

Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas

Driver's license

Preferred

Experience performing studies for transmission planning or operations utilizing power flow software (PSS/E or similar)

Experience in data analysis/analytics and working with large data sets/relational databases

Experience programming in Python
