Responsibilities
Serve as regional Planning Engineer for multiple ISO territories;
Provide guidance to developers by helping them navigate the Transmission network to identify system capacity and optimal locations to Interconnect projects;
Develop Transmission Network Models using PSSE, TARA, or other similar tools;
Perform Transmission System analysis such as Power Flow, Stability, Reactive Power Compensation, etc.;
Evaluate utility impact studies with the ability to challenge study methodology where appropriate;
Assist project developers in the evaluation of potential Project sites to determine project feasibility and potential network upgrades and cost;
Well-organized self-starter with a genuine drive for success and executing on both short- and longer-term strategic goals;
Exhibit knowledge and understanding of T&D protective relay schemes.

Required
3+ years of power engineering experience, with desired specialty in transmission planning
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, or relevant study
Strong understanding of transmission system impacts associated with the interconnection of distributed energy resources (DER), as well as knowledge of engineering solutions to mitigate those issues
Knowledge and understanding of T&D protective relay schemes
Ability to successfully lead strategic initiatives in a fast-paced and challenging team-based multi-stakeholder environment
Well-organized self-starter with a genuine drive for success and execution of both short- and longer-term strategic goals
Experience with power systems modeling software such as PSSE, PSCAD, PSLF, SKM/ETAP, Aspen, etc.
