Responsibilities

Provide technical direction and complex problem solving associated with the maintenance, trouble shooting, and upgrades of existing turbine equipment, power producing facilities, and infrastructure
Prepare specifications, statements of work, and cost estimates for all types of turbine generators and related equipment and systems
Assist in the defining of customer requirements and needs and the conformity of the system to the contractual specifications
Provide engineering and design packages with the support of fellow engineers in accordance with client requirements
Provide technical documentation as required
Act as internal technical point of contact for all things turbine controls
Work with multi-discipline engineers assigned to project
Participate in project review meetings, project milestone meetings
Coordinate support of site activities with the Project Managers as needed
Perform other duties as required not specifically related to turbine controls

Required

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
Proven work history designing, maintaining, specifying, or otherwise working with utility scale power producing facilities, specifically gas and steam turbine control systems
Working efficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Excellent written and oral communication skills required
Experience in gas and steam turbine control systems
Extensive knowledge of industry standard control system communication protocols
Willing to travel 25%-50% of the time which would include fieldwork; duration may vary depending on project and client needs

Preferred

Professional Engineer (PE) License
Experience with NERC CIP requirements
Experience in multiple turbine control systems across different manufacturers
