Responsibilities
Provide indirect patient care under the direction of the Clinical Manager/Charge Nurse, Staff RN, or LPN.
Meet communication needs of patients/families, departmental staff, and medical staff.
Prepare and compile medical records.
Order and stock basic office supplies for the unit.
Be flexible and float to other units as needed.
Participate in performance improvement activities.
Work cooperatively with medical and hospital staff for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Required
High school diploma or GED from an accredited institute required
Obtains at least 12 hours of continuing education; a minimum of six hours must be specific to assigned area of nursing
Basic computer experience
BCLS required, recertification annually
Preferred
Experience preferred
CNA in the state of Georgia preferred
Health Unit Coordinator certification desirable
